We have released a new strength training program!

We have teamed up with Australian Strength Coach – who is our business partner, Felicia’s hubby, and one of the most accomplished strength coaches in the world today – to create the Ultimate Strength Program for Women.

This is a 12 week strength program that has been designed to build your lifting skillset and peak you to your best possible performance. If you want an online coaching program that will get you strong – like, seriously strong – then this training plan has been designed for you.

We could not be more excited for this release, because we’ve had so many requests for a female-specific training plan that caters for pure strength. This is not a general fitness training plan – it has been designed specifically for any babe who wants to improve their performance and skillset in the gym. It will not only develop whole body strength, but will also build muscle and create a well balanced body. We have followed this plan personally and can attest to the results.

We have already received quite a few questions about this program so we wanted to share a bit more information on this exciting collaboration, and the reasons behind why we designed this program. Why should we train just for strength?

It’s no secret that we love strength training. In fact, it’s our favourite way to train.

Strength is an incredible thing to build. Getting stronger and learning to move well under heavy weights is so beneficial to your everyday life, as well as other areas of your training – it improves the way we move, look, and feel.

Lifting heavy weights is a lot of fun, but it also requires a certain amount of skill and mastery to shift maximum loads. Getting better at any skill requires time, consistency, proper instruction, and effort, so it’s important to set aside dedicated periods in your training where you make strength your main priority – and this is the case if strength is your main goal, or if it is one of several fitness components that you want to improve. Dedicated training will always produce the best results. The BBB x ASC Ultimate Strength Program gives you 12 dedicated weeks of focussed strength training with all of the instruction and support that you need to accelerate your performance and achieve your strength goals.

How is the program designed?

This training plan is broken down into three 4-week blocks, and follows a rotary programming style. Each week, the reps decrease in a rotary fashion which allows us to lift more weight each session. This means that over the 12 weeks of the program we teach the body to gradually handle heavier and heavier weights, so that in the final block we can peak our strength.

Just as the reps progressively taper down over the program, the exercises also become gradually less complex as we move between each 4-week block. The higher complexity exercises prescribed in the first 8 weeks improve our lifting skillset and overload our body in different ways so that we feel even more confident under the heavy loads in the last 4 weeks of the program.

The fourth week of each phase is a deload week. This is where we lift the heaviest weights of that phase, with a lot less volume. By keeping our weights heavy but reducing the number of reps or sets we are performing, we are able to challenge our bodies under heavy loads while ensuring we are getting enough recovery for those high training demands.

What sets this apart from other BBB programs?

The BBB x ASC Ultimate Strength Program is the first strength specific program that we have released. A specific goal requires specific training, and there are a few key differences that set this program apart from the other BBB training programs.

One of the main differences is that there are no circuit days. This means that you will be training for pure strength in all five of your weekly training sessions, and each training day will be based around one main barbell movement. These are some of our favourite exercises that we have used in our own training, and that Sebastian has used to create so many successful and strong athletes.

Another difference is that we have introduced the barbell bench press from the very beginning of this program, whereas, in our other gym program it is introduced at a much later stage. We love this exercise, but it’s quite complex so we usually save it for our more advanced babes. The bench press is one of Australian Strength Coach’s all-time favourites, and it’s also a must-do strength exercise, so we knew we had to include it in this program.

Do I need to be strong before I start?

The weights on the program are scaled to whatever you can do, so you don’t need to be at a certain level of strength in order to keep up with the training. This is an excellent program for a seasoned strength athlete, but it’s also a great plan for anyone who has basic experience with strength exercises. However, if you are totally new to the weights room, we recommend starting with one of our other BBB programs to gain some familiarity with the movements before swapping over to the BBB x ASC Ultimate Strength Program.[divider line_type=”No Line” custom_height=”40″]

What is included in the coaching service?

When you sign up to the program, you will receive a complete training plan that will tell you the exact exercises, sets, and reps that you will be doing in each session. The program also comes with a load calculator that will allow you to calculate your training weights for all of the main lifts in each session. If you are unsure about how to perform a movement, we have included detailed video tutorials for every single exercise.

Just like all of our programs, The Ultimate Strength Program will also give you access to our private facebook group, where we invite you to send in videos of your training so we can give you advice and feedback. This is an amazing community of supportive women, and your direct line of contact with us – Dinny and Felicia. Although we work really closely with Sebastian, this is a women’s only group, so due to privacy reasons, he does not get access to anything that’s posted. If you do want him to have a look at any of your videos, mention it in your post and we can discreetly share it with him without compromising the privacy of the facebook group.
